How To Choose Brass Floor Lamps For Your Home

Using brass floor lamps will change the atmosphere in your residence. This sturdy metal lamp usually has a straight stem but sometimes it is curved like an arco or a pharmacy lamp near the top. A great place for a brass floor lamp is a reading room. You can also have a reading lamp in the same style next to your favorite reading chair.

Lamps made from brass can cover many design areas such modern, contemporary or old-fashioned. So, this type of fixture mixes well with schonbek lamps or lighting fixtures that use fluorescent bulbs.

A lamp in general is perfect for accent lighting to cause your favorite table to be the focal point or to highlight your antique couch or chair.

Some of these lamps have a movable arm that resembles the swing arm lamp that is very popular nowadays. Even some of the large floor models have adjustable lights that are on the side to help you to showcase your belongings.

For a more traditional feel, view the Bakarat candelabra floor lamp that comes with an antique brass finish. I prefer brass over copper or stainless steel because of the warmth that seems to be created in the atmosphere of a room that this type of metal radiates.

I will list the most popular brands of floor lamps that are available in brass : Kichler, Dale Tiffany, Lite Source. You can get most of these tall lamps in the following types of brass : antique, patina, brushed and even the Westminster brass that is popular in England.

Lamps of this nature, can be placed in many different rooms. I have seen some nice designer styles near to a piano, or even close to a large bay window. Just remember to take your time and view images and reviews of the brass lamps before making your final buying decision.

I bought a Ledu brass floor lamp. I was planning on not spending a lot of money, my budget was $100-$250. I'm so glad about this lamp. it is very classy looking, it is not cheap at all. The quality is quite good also.

I had purchased a floor lamp that was actually a brass swing arm floor lamp. I was planning on buying something more expensive, I finally tried this one out and I'm very happy with what I had purchased. The quality is good and the shipping was superfast.

Do not buy a Verilux lamp. I bought it because I wanted a great reading lamp and I did a lot of search beforehand so that was not the problem. The lamp was extremely heavy and it's very difficult to assemble. Once I had it together, I realized that the light was extremely dim and I couldn't use it to read.
