Adding Tiffany Lighting To Your Decor

For an antique atmosphere, having tiffany lighting is perfect. These lamps are expensive but highly sought after even for those that love a modern or contemporary style. The use of stained glass and lead makes these lamps glow with life. There also are other styles that are similar such as the fixtures made by Schonbek or Murano that provides a futuristic twist.

For the tall lamps made by the Tiffany company, the stem is usually bronze and very strong. Nevertheless, the table lamps are also well manufactured. They are far from the arch or arco lamps that are more modern, but they work well in any room of the house.

This lighting company also makes ceiling pendants, semi-flush and flush mounts, wall sconces, and even art glass windows. The stained glass that is prominent in tiffany design is amazing.

There are many different styles to choose from. You can purchase museum quality, mission style, or dragonfly inspired lighting and window designs. No matter what your decorating style is, you should have no problem finding a lamp that will be tasteful in your special room.

If you are interested in a desk lamp there are many small tiffany lamps that you could pick from. The victola or the daffodil bell desk lamps are similar in style to schronbek. They both have a curved design and allow light to hit your favorite book easily just as does a taller lamp called the pharmacy lamp.

For a restaurant owner, pendant lighting designed by tiffany will create the perfect eating atmosphere. The subdued lighting will not distract your customer, it will relax them. There are many choices for pendant fixtures such as the tradional jewelstone design or the buckingham traditional tiffany style. I personally love to see a grapevine tiffany pendant light in a restaurant because of the elegance that it brings.

We have two Tiffany style ariel shade table lamps in a library. The price was great and they actually look more expensive than what we had paid. It has owls in the design which we didn't know about when I bought them, but funny thing is that is exactly my style. I suggest that you buy one of these lamps, you will be very happy with it.

I bought a Tiffany style dragonfly red hanging lamp that I put over top of my desk in my office. It is pretty good but the glass seems to be a lot darker than the photo that I had noticed on Amazon. Of course did not take it back since I am beginning to fall in love with it.

Could you write more about the value of tiffany lamps? I watch that antique show and I know that some of these lamps can sell for thousands of dollars. I inherited one last month from my great aunt and I know that it is very old. Thing is that she kept it in the attic and uncovered. It is full of dust and I am afraid to clean it.
